a chord study in third-tones on the cello, a cello motif for the left hand alone, several motifs on clavichord in a 19-tone scale, as well as the whirring of a leather band being twirled in the air.

Alles, das klingt und sich in irgendeiner Form aufnehmen läßt, kann Material für die musikalische Arbeit sein – Material in einem handwerklichen Sinn, aus dem sich alles Mögliche formen läßt (wie Holz, Stein oder Metall für bildende Künstler). Angesichts dieser umwerfenden Fülle hat es für mich einen eigenen Reiz, mich auf wenige Materialien zu beschränken.
In diesem Fall ist es die Stimme von Alexandra Sommerfeld, aus der alles gewonnen ist – nicht nur der Klang selbst, sondern auch Sprachmelodie und -rhythmus.
Genaugenommen sind es die ersten 24 Haiku, die in den verschiedensten Metamorphosen erscheinen: als Trommeln, als Glocken, als Wind und Wetter, als Namenloses. Eine ,alchemistische‘ Arbeit in Frequenz und Zeit.
